Fearless Leadership
"Courage is rightly considered the foremost of virtues, for upon it, all others depend." -- Winston Churchill
Perhaps the greatest challenge that you will ever face in life is the conquest of fear and the development of the habit of courage. Fear has always been the greatest enemy of mankind.
When Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself," he was saying that the emotion of fear, rather than the reality of what we fear, is the cause of the associated anxiety, stress, and unhappiness.
Fearless Leadership is based on this premise. Just think: What would you dare to dream, be or do if you were able to overcome your fears. Fortunately, the habit of courage can be learned, just as any other skill is learned.
In his presentation, Fearless Leadership, Eric Boles helps people learn to systematically diminish their fears, while simultaneously build the kind of courage that enables them to deal fearlessly with the inevitable up and downs of business and life.
We help participants discover what Fearless Leadership looks like individually, as a leader, and as a team member. Fear can hinder every area of our lives. Our fears tend to paralyze us, holding us back from taking constructive action in the direction of our dreams and goals. We hesitate, we become indecisive, and we procrastinate; we make excuses and find reasons not to move ahead.
In this presentation participants learn: * How to objectively evaluate their fears * How our fears have helped us and hinders us * A systematic process for overcoming fear * The three types of courage for overcoming fear * Fearless conversation: A key to team success * Why self confidence and self-esteem have an inverse relationship with fear
Creating a Fearless Environment will depend on fearless individuals who understand that "courage is resistance to fear, mastery over fear -- not the absence of fear." -- Mark Twain
